For transport geeks

Watch this space for interesting transport stuff!

This page has been lacking since we left South Aust, mainly as we have been on the open road most of the time, which in itself is interesting - speed limits, road trains etc, but I am preparing a presentation on that for when I get back so I will post that.  Here are pictures from around the place and I will do a Perth specific post soon too.

bike parking at Port Hedland swimming pool

Adelaide
One strange thing here is that there are the bike lanes on busy roads which are only bike lanes at certain times of the day, but they are too narrow to be effective parking lanes at the other times of day, some people do park in them but very few and they overhang into the traffic lane, very odd…
Part time bike lanes?
Melbourne
This city is full of clearways, this makes it fun for cyclists (not!).  If you park in them you will be towed pretty quickly!
